Areas of Intervention
We intervene on behalf of victims of disasters through humanitarian interventions and research.
Our Humanitarian Interventions
In the context of Eastern DRC, which is not only plagued by insecurity characterized by repeated population movements but also theoretically rich yet practically poor, during the crisis, the population abandons everything and finds itself in very difficult situations in host areas. Victim's Hope DRC plays a significant role by coming to their aid, offering them the first smile after a difficult moment, and contributing not only to their community reintegration but also to their resilience.
Food Security
Supporting farmers and livestock keepers while intervening in environmental protection and resilience.
WASH, Health, and Nutrition
Providing access to clean water, hygiene and sanitation, and communication for mindset change.
Gender, Inclusion, and Youth
Entrepreneurship, support for victims of sexual violence, and the creation of income-generating activities.
Education
Promoting access to formal education and training in practical life skills.
Research and Development
The real realities come from the ground
Through its Research for Social Impact (RSI) department, VH responds to the urgent need for information among humanitarian actors, development actors, and the Congolese government by producing reliable, high-quality data even in hard-to-reach areas for evidence-based decision-making. Knowing that real realities only come from the field.
Victim's Hope DRC has developed a network of local, national, and international experts according to the areas of intervention and client requirements.

Thematic and International Experts
In response to growing client needs, Victim's Hope DRC has mobilized over 10 internationally renowned experts, including university professors (PhDs) from both national and international backgrounds. Based on specific themes and the requirements of donors and clients, they ensure impeccable work and high-quality deliverables that meet international standards. Each expert possesses unique field experience, with over 20 years in scientific research and international development. Their role is to ensure compliance with national and international ethics in all studies and to maintain quality control from conception to final delivery. Some are also members of the ethics team at the Kinshasa School of Public Health.
Principal Investigators
For every specific study, Victim's Hope DRC provides a Principal Investigator to lead the research according to the donor's or client's qualifications and requirements. Each lead holds at least a Master's degree in their field and has a minimum of 10 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, scientific research, or international development for emergency and development projects.
Analysts and Statisticians
To ensure the best application of new technologies and statistical standards in our services, as well as appropriate information management, Victim's Hope DRC employs 4 experts, including two statisticians and two computer scientists. They are dedicated to data analysis, data visualization using cutting-edge software, geospatial analysis, and other services tailored to client needs.
Field Coordinators
Victim's Hope DRC employs specialists in qualitative and quantitative research who are recruited at the coordination level and deployed in the field based on required qualifications and skills. Each holds at least a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, and research within development and emergency projects.
Survey Supervisors
In its database, Victim's Hope DRC maintains over 50 locally recruited field supervisors. Each holds a Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience in surveying within their respective provinces. Each province is assigned at least three supervisors, including at least one woman.
Data Collectors/Interviewers
Victim's Hope DRC maintains a database of 300 qualitative and quantitative data collectors spread across more than 15 provinces of the Democratic Republic of Congo, with women representing over 30% of the team. This multidisciplinary and multicultural team is assigned based on client needs, with each member having a minimum of 4 years of experience in data collection across various development and emergency project sectors.

Our Approaches
Documentary Studies
We also conduct documentary studies using archives, official publications, the internet, or experts. This is done to explore an issue or prepare for an in-depth study phase. Additionally, there are technical capacity-building sessions through specialized training (Monitoring and Evaluation, Digital Data Collection, Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis Software, Mapping, Research Methods, etc.), as well as the organization of conferences and symposiums.
With expertise in digital data collection using platforms like KOBO Collect, ODK Collect, and Commcare, Victim's Hope DRC has developed a new technique for remote data collection via smartphones since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
